The "5 things" Tag

Well, sometime last week I noticed my sister-in-law Cari had tagged me with the "5 things" tag. The next morning, I noticed that my cousin Kristy had also tagged me with the same exact "5 things" tag. Pretty funny. Because it happened twice and at the same time I figured I better do it!

5 things I was doing ten years ago:
1. Starting my freshman year at Ayala High School
2. Cheerleading at the High School football, basketball, wrestling,
and water polo games
3. Falling hard and fast for a stunning songbird named JC Chasez in the group N'SYNC (I really believed that I might marry him someday. Haha - oh the dreams of a young girl)
4. Getting to know a great friend (Andrea) who would one day join the church (strengthening my testimony as well) and become like a sister to my siblings and I
5. Going to early morning seminary - with my best friend Rashel, thinking we were so cool (which, by the way we were)

5 things on my To-Do list today:
1. Find a new place to live...our current place turned out to be a little more GHETTO than it first appeared. (Check out this sweet apartment in Columbia ---------->)
2. Take a shower! Wait, what's a shower again?
3. Go to lunch with my mom!
4. Make fish tacos for dinner (gotta have something to eat our salsa with)
5. Umm...looking around I think I should probably pick up around the house

5 things I would do if I were a millionaire:
1. Buy one of the sweet houses here on Lake Murray!
2. Hire a personal trainer and chef, and then buy myself a new wardrobe to go along with my new shape
3. Buy a second car, probably a Volvo S60 or a Maserati
4. Buy Andy a boat so that he could enjoy our lake house to it's fullest
5. Pay off all of Andy's student loans...No More Debt!

5 things I would never wear again:
1. About 95% of my old Showbiz Singers costumes
2. Scrunchies in my hair
3. Ruffley, beaded socks
4. A wedding dress, and believe me this makes me sad. I am so happy that I am still so in love I will never have to be married again, but I sure wish you could have receptions every 2 or 3 years so that you could wear a wedding dress again. I love wedding dresses - weird...I know
5. A t-shirt with my hand print "stamped" on it

5 favorite toys:
1. Stella
2. Stella's clothes
3. My cameras, both the still frame and video
4. My little friend imac - especially for Final Cut Pro and Photoshop (scrapbooking)
5. Do blogs count as toys? I love checking out all of my friends and families blogs!

5 people to tag
1. Rashel Cherry
2. Michelle Lund
3. Ashley Kearns
4. Jamie Cook
5. Jen Larsen

The week in review

We went over to the Rozmus's on Sunday for dinner and pumpkin carving. I am proud of our pumpkin and had so much fun carving it that I want to make another one! We couldn't light it up for everyone to see yet because Andy needs to scrape out the center=). We will post a picture on Halloween maybe. ( Stella is the drooling Ghost, I am the upside down scared one, and Andy is the one gnashing his teeth in the bottom.)

We finally had someone around who could take a picture of all three of us.
Andy and I did some cooking together in the kitchen. I love it when we cook together. Andy is "in his element", well one of his elements I should say, and the pressure is not all on me! We made some delish salsa, my moms favorite.

Did someone say Rachel Ray?

Andy thought Stella was being sooo cute when she just sat with us and watched a movie. She was watching very calmly for about 15 minutes before she ended up just closing her eyes and going to sleep. I think that is the easiest it ever was to get her off into dream land. (We don't really look like we are enjoying ourselves here - but we were just all paying close attention to the movie=))

Grandma comes to town!

Last night we had our first visitor come see our new little town. My mom flew into town...that's right FLEW! She did it. I guess seeing Stella is important enough, she can get over her fear of flying, or at least get through the almost 5 hour flight without any tears. She is enjoying herself so far, and we are so glad she is here.

Mitt Romney For President!!!!

Andy and I have been participating in the Mitt Romney For President campaign. Every Tuesday we call and tell people the latest and greatest of Mitt's policies at a little call center near our home. (OK, we have actually only called one night so far, but we will be doing it every Tuesday from now on.) This last Tuesday, however, there was no calling to be done because something much more exciting was going on! MITT WAS HERE IN SOUTH CAROLINA!! We went and listened to him make some very good points, and then got to take our picture with him. He was very impressive, as well as very kind.
This campaign thing sure brings out the competitive side in me. I have the urge to get all the other people running on the phone and give them a piece of my mind. Mostly I just want to tell them they are stupid and to quit running now because they have no chance. I can't imagine how crazy I would be if Andy was running. I will feel a great sense of satisfaction if Mitt wins. I will feel like I actually made a difference - so I am keeping my fingers crossed!
Andy sure likes to be a part of all the hoopla as well. His interest in politics is something I have always admired in him.

Jeramia got Mitt's autograph! His mom said he thinks he is the coolest boy in the world now after meeting The Future President.

Picky Picky

Today our little family invaded a pick your own apple orchard. Only problem was the freeze this last spring destroyed two-thirds of all the crop. Therefore, no picking was to be done. Only hayrides, picking out a pumpkin, and buying expensive cider. Well, that was not what Andy wanted to hear. So, he went on his own little secret picking spree, and like always, came back bearing fruit. It was pretty dang good too! So was the apple cider, peach cider, and apple pie. Yum!

We also picked ourselves up a nice pumpkin to carve, and a mini pumpkin for Stella. ("for Stella" - whatever that means)

Forgive Stella's immodesty...Andy wanted to leave Stella's pants off after we changed her diaper so she could get some sun.

Quick - Hide! Don't let them see you!

Stella was cool hanging out during the apple picking and hayride, but she really enjoyed playing with, and trying to suck on the pumpkins.

There were animals, but Stella didn't seem to interested.

Did you have a good time Stella?

We'll take that as a yes!

elephants, zebras, and chicks...oh my!

We went to the South Carolina state fair yesterday, and I had the most fun I've ever had at a fair. We were able to see some amazing animals, like a zebra and an elephant. RAD!! They also had probably the most genius food there - deep fried pepsi. Not quite sure how they do it but thats what I'm talkin' about. Take pepsi - one of the best foods on earth, and then deep fry it, we didn't try it but that has got to be delish.

Stella was supposed to be sleeping when we got there, but she was very excited, which you can kind of tell from the picture. (doesn't Andy kind of look like Borat in this picture?)

This rabbit weighed more than Stella. She wasn't interested in it though, she was too busy checking out all the people around.

I was picked to be one of the cheerleaders for the pig races. Our pig was named Hillary Rod-Ham Clinton. Don't worry folks, she didn't win, and unfortunately neither did Britney Spare-ribs. I think the winner was Arnold Schwartsenhogger.

This pumpkin was a wopping 291 pounds! We did the wall of nails, and it was pretty funny. I think the picture of me may just be the most flattering picture ever taken, and Stella even did it. She was a little freaked out by it, but she didn't get upset or anything. Sorry - Andy's picture didn't come out to well.
