Closed for the Winter?
On Saturday we decided we wanted to go swimming in the Lake. We got Stella all dressed up in her new little bathing suit and headed out for a day of fun. Just as we were pulling into the parking lot, we saw that the gate was closed and there was a sign hanging on it. To our surprise, it said Park closed for winter. Will reopen in April. What the heck? It's still 85-90 degrees on a regular basis. Who ever said anything about winter? So determined to get in the lake water, we drove around for about an hour looking for beach access. None to be found! Every beach is privately owned. So we settled for looking at model homes and swimming in the pool.

haha...Makenna has that same suit in the orange color! Yea I know what you mean. It is about 80-90 degrees here still too! But it was snowing in Utah yesterday! Our community pool has been closed for 2 weeks already! It's crazy!
Oh, Stella looks sweetly modest in this bathing suit. = ) I'm glad that at least your pool was still open. That would have been REALLY disappointing to get all dressed up and nowhere to swim.

That sucks! I thought it was crazy in Utah for roads to be closed for the winter through May, but this lake thing has that beat. Even the pools around here are still open... and forget about the lakes, they never close! A buch of softies must live out there. :)
Savannah has that bathing suit too!! She's going to wear it in Jamaica!! Our moms must have bought them together..
